Quality
Viaforta diaphragms are made from rubber blended to a formulation of our own, not bought pre-mixed. That control over the recipe is what sets flex fatigue life and fabric adhesion — and you can test the result yourself with free samples.
Rubber strengthened by a recipe of our own
We buy high-grade rubber as raw material and have it re-blended to a recipe developed with our production partner, then processed at their facility in Istanbul, Türkiye. The compound is optimised around how a brake chamber diaphragm actually works — durability, flexibility and a long service life. Our own formulation and the cord-fabric reinforcement are what the parts are built on to hold up under pressure, continuous duty and repeated deformation. Quality starts with the right raw material and the right recipe.
Three choices in that recipe bear directly on a brake diaphragm
Flex fatigue ahead of tensile strength
A diaphragm is not a gasket. It travels through its full stroke every time the brake is applied, for the whole of its service life. What ends that life is flex cracking, not tearing. A compound tuned for this part trades some tensile strength for flex fatigue resistance — a trade a general-purpose compound has no reason to make.
Adhesion between rubber and fabric
The fabric ply carries the pressure load; the rubber seals and transfers it to the push rod. If the bond between the two gives way, the plies separate and the diaphragm balloons — a failure that shows up as a slow loss of pressure rather than a burst, which is the harder kind for a fleet to catch. That bond is a property of the compound. Buy the compound and you cannot tune it.
A curing system matched to the actual press
Crosslinking is set by time, temperature and the curing package together. A compound formulated around someone else’s cycle is either over-cured in ours — brittle, and short-lived under flexing — or under-cured, which appears later as permanent set: a diaphragm that no longer returns fully and a brake that drifts out of adjustment.
What does it mean in practice?
Traceability. When something has to be explained, the chain runs from the raw material lot through the mix to the finished part, inside one facility. A manufacturer who buys compound can only change supplier.
Do not take our word for it
We will send up to 10 pieces free of charge; you cover the shipping. Fit them, run them, and judge the part on what it does rather than on what we say about it. For a component this straightforward, that is a faster and more honest evaluation than anything we could put in writing.

Two situations, each with its own terms. Both apply to every order and both are repeated on the proforma invoice.
Problems found on arrival
- What it covers
- Wrong part, short count, transit damage, or a defect you can see.
- Reporting window
- 14 days from delivery.
- What we need
- Photographs of the parts as they arrived and of the packaging.
- Cost
- Ours — the replacement parts and the freight both ways.
Manufacturing faults found in service
- What it covers
- A fault in the part itself, appearing after it has been fitted. The claim covers replacement of the faulty pieces.
- Reporting window
- 6 months from delivery.
- What we need
- A sample sent to us for examination.
- Cost
- Sending the sample is at your cost. If the claim is upheld, we refund what it cost you.
A decision within 10 working days
The examination is done at the production facility. From the day the sample reaches us you have an answer in writing within ten working days, whether or not the findings support the claim.
How is a claim settled?
Replacement parts, or credit against your next order. A cash refund where replacement is not possible.
Quote your order number when you write, and the batch number from the carton if you have it — that is where the examination starts.
